I've been writing to the music columnists of the Pitch and the Kansas City Star for a month with no luck. The Pitch, for some reason, has the listing in the catch-all "Blues/Funk/Soul" category. Technically, the band is playing blues, but that's like calling Flogging Molly a "Ceilidh band". The Big Damn Band rocks harder than half the metal bands out there!

I think its time we all bombard the pitch with reviews like this haha.
Well, tomorrow is the big day. Look for me taking nonstop photos heh

Here's some advice for getting to the show. Knuckleheads is in an area entirely surrounded by train tracks. While this makes for some great visuals, it makes it hard to get to as your way might be blocked by freight trains. And the default route produced by both Mapquest and Google has you going over train tracks. But there is a way to get to Knuckleheads that doesn't cross over any train tracks. Here's a route from the Plaza to Knuckleheads - modify as needed for your location.

since im driving from *cough* ottawa, il be driving about an hour. on my end it says take exit #2N/ST onto topeka/broadway onto I-670 then get onto I 70 then it tells me to continue on us-71 toward i-29/i-35 then merge on i35 then take exit #4b/front st. turn on e front st (doesnt say left or right on turning on n oliv s)

The Front Street route definitely takes you over the train tracks and you can wind up waiting for a freight train. Here's a route from Ottawa.
